CoBiol did not feature only research activities but also included a focus on communicating research to a general audience. This effort was embodied by CoBiol@School: an outreach activity to bring CoBiol@Research close to the public, impact, and share the wonder of science with the young generation. CoBiol@School is an exciting six-activity learning session:
1๏ธโฃ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ง๐ starts with a Leadership exercise in which the CoBiol class was designed in a circle way to immerse the pupils in a dynamic team spirit.
2๏ธโฃ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ฐ๐จ is a dialogue ๐ฌ, ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐
๐๐๐๐๐๐, where pupils were engaged to get answers to the question โWhat is CoBiol project?โ.
3๏ธโฃ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ก๐ซ๐๐ is a story ๐ entitled โ๐
๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐!โ. It consists of 3 parts, starting with Marie Curie Story (155 years ago) to Making Marie Curie, and finally reaching Her Story (โHerโ refers to the hashtag MSCA fellow, Fatma Marrakchi).
4๏ธโฃ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐
๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ is a “๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐”, game-based assessment ๐ฒ, presenting the cocreation of 3 consecutive games called Search (Crossword ๐), Puzzle ๐งฉ, and Discover (Cards ๐). It offers a more fun and innovative form of evaluating what has been learned.
5๏ธโฃ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐
๐ข๐ฏ๐ is a poem ๐ญ “๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐!” with an enthusiastic message, aiming to raise awareness in the youngsters by transmitting the long-term objectives of building a sustainable planet.
6๏ธโฃ ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ข๐ฑ is an introduction to AAU Energy missions and a Tour of the ๐ฉ๐ปโ๐ฌ Advanced Biolfuel Lab๐จโ๐ฌ where pupils visited different units to get closer to real-life practice.
These six activities are enclosed with vibrant and energizing recreational times of food break music ๐ฆ ๐ถ ๐ ๐ง ๐ง.
๐ฌ My first-class experience was held on April 27th, 2023, in AAU Energy (https://www.energy.aau.dk/) with direct interaction with 24 enthusiastic pupils from the Skipper Clement Skolen at Aalborg. This class connected me as a researcher with a motivated teacher, Benjamin Gilbert, allowing us to team up. Thank you so much to the key figures๐ค Lasse Rosendahl,ย Anders Hรธndrup Andersen,ย Antonio Jaime Azuara,ย Komeil Kohansal,ย Daniele Castello,ย Thomas Helmer Pedersen, and the pianistย Diogo Loureiro Martinho ๐น that followed me during preparation, practical rehearsals, organization. ๐ I founded this initiative fueled with artistic creativity to awaken children’s curiosity about science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEM), and encourage children to be like outstanding researchers. I am looking forward to developing this initiative and collaborating with teachers and researchers who are interested in being part of the journey.
